| Biographical Sketch: | Klaus Gommlich received his doctorates from the University of Leipzig, specializing in second language acquisition and translation studies. Formerly an Associate Professor and Deputy Chair of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the University of Leipzig, Klaus Gommlich currently heads the TESL program at Kent State University, where he is Associate Professor of English. A member of Kent State University's Institute for Applied Linguistics, he is a General Editor of the monograph series Translation Studies and the occasional papers series Kent Forum in Translation Studies. His areas of research include functional linguistics and second language acquisition, translation studies, and computer-assisted translation. He is co-editor of the books Text and Meaning and Basic Issues in Translation Studies | ||||
