FINAL EXAM Localizing an XML Document and its StyleSheet
DUE:   12/12/2001
DESCRIPTION: Your primary task is to edit and localize the XML/XSL documents provided. This document is named FinalExam.XML.  The document has content that is processed and turned into a web page display by a document called FinalExam.XSL. (Save using a "save target as").
STEPS
1. Download the 2 XML documents from the site (above) or copy them from me in class and put it in a folder on your zip drive or on the hard disk. Make sure both files are in the same folder.
2. Use a text editor to do the localization. Notepad from the Windows Accessories folder will work just fine. If you wish you can use Microsoft's XML Notepad downloadable from the Web for free or available here.  XML Notepad can be used to edit the XML and the XSL document.
3. Sub Assignment #1: Open the XML named FinalExam.XML and localize it. The file contains localizable material. Recognize the tag names and attributes names if any and ignore them.
4. Sub Assignment #2: Open the XSL file named FinalExam.XSL and localize it. It contains localizable material as well. As with the XML file what is part of a tag or processing directive should not be localized. You should be looking for textual material that is inside of the HTML tags that are produced by the XSL processor.
5. Sub Assignment #3: If you have not changed any codes, the localized XML document should display by opening it in Explorer. Check the text to make sure you have not missed any localizable material.
HINT: Run the XML file by opening it in a browser at the beginning of localization. Do this periodically as you work, so you can see the results of your localization.
DELIVERABLES:  Once you have localized the two documents send them to me by email.
