KentLingua is the organization of graduate students enrolled in the Institute of Applied Linguistics (IAL) at Kent State University, Ohio. The Institute is part of the Department of Modern and Classical Language Studies (MCLS).
KentLingua was officially recognized in September 2000. Its members are graduate students in translation, pedagogy and literature. They come from around the world; countries currently represented include Argentina, Bosnia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Haiti, Japan, Peru, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Spain, USA and Venezuela.
KentLingua's objectives include helping IAL graduate students make the most of the programs in which they are enrolled and acting as a liaison between students and the IAL. KentLingua seeks to meet these objectives through:
